ARC is a fitness mobile app that delivers personalized workout practices tailored to individual goals. Through gamified challenges and rewards, it keeps users motivated and engaged on their fitness journey.

GOAL

The goal was to address the decline in physical activity after 2020, and the mass feeling of discouragement and fatigue. With growing evidence that people want to exercise more, this project aimed to conduct deep research and develop a user-centered app, to inspire motivation and make healthy routines more engaging.

Kick-Off

After identifying the core pain point, the Double Diamond methodology guided the development of this mobile app.

The process began with extensive desk research to better understand the problem, the target audience, and the broader health implications. Since the product directly impacts users’ well-being, this early research ensured that every design decision was grounded in responsibility and user care.

The first step was to explore the problem.

Desk research - to collect background knowledge, trends and context.
Competitive audit - to benchmark solutions and gaps.

Define

To frame the problem, the following tools were used:

Persona development - to represent target users with specific needs, goals, and behaviours.
Journey map - that will help visualize user experiences, pain points, and opportunities.
Value proposition - to clarify how the solution addresses needs and differentiates itself based on opportunities identified.
User tasks - to identify what users need to do in order to reach their goals, step by step.
